At first I thought, Oh I don’t really like this song, but I kept listening and I’m glad that I did. I love the vocals and the melodies. This song is such a mixture, it’s like listening to 3 different songs at once, but yet it works. I know right, I can hear you shaking your head at me and not believing me – but please, believe me and check them out!
Btw – if you are in Michigan they are playing tonight in Lansing! So stop sitting on your couch and go see them! I bet they kill it live!
TOOTHGRINDER SHARE NEW SONG “BLUE”
NOCTURNAL MASQUERADE OUT JANUARY 29
WINTER TOUR STARTS TODAY
(New York, N.Y.) New Jersey’s Toothgrinder are just three weeks away from the release of Nocturnal Masquerade, their Spinefarm Records debut. The much-anticipated album lands on January 29. To further herald the release, Toothgrinder, christened a “Band to Watch” by Revolver, have shared the fourth and final track “Blue.”
Listen to “Blue” here.
“‘Blue’ was the first song on the record in which we decided to incorporate an alternative tuning,” said vocalist Justin Matthews. “We felt the rhythm and feel of the tune called for a heavier atmosphere. Lyrically, it brings two different points of the album together. It is one of our favorite songs on the record, as well as a fun one to play live.”
Toothgrinder are also getting ready to kiss their home state of New Jersey goodbye for the foreseeable future, embarking on their first of many tours in support of Nocturnal Masquerade. They will first hit the road for a spate of dates with The Crucible before circling back for three East Coast headline shows. More Toothgrinder tour dates will be announced soon.Consider this your official, engraved invitation to the Nocturnal Masquerade.
