We’d love to know when and where you got your tattoo: Well I have 25 tattoos. I got my first tattoo at age 27 from Jason Lee at New Age Tattoos in Springfield, IL. The tattoo is a portrait of Gene Simmons. I have been a huge KISS fan since I was 4 years old, and when the time came for my first tattoo, it was a no brainer! I also have tattoos done by Little Frank Whittington at Oakwood Tattoo, Tattoo Charlie Brown, the late Frank Ryan, Tony Mucci from Skin Deep Tattoo in Maui, Hawaii. I like tattoos with a dark theme like horror, skulls, monsters.

Did anyone come with you or did you go it alone? I have actually done both, my wife Sara Cothern has gone with me when I got tattooed, and I also have gone by myself.

How was that process? I love getting tattooed.. It is kind of zen for me.. I can just sit and not focus on anything specific.

Choosing a tattoo is a pretty important decision, can you tell us a bit about why you chose the design that you did ? All of my tattoos have meaning to me. Each one was done at certain points in my life.

Can you please share the meaning behind some of your tattoos? Well I have a forearm piece on my left forearm that represents my 2 sons Cameron (16), and TJ (21), I also have my daughter Sabrina’s footprints from her birth certificate. I also have a “Love Tiki” on the inside of my left wrist that I got on my honeymoon. I also have the number 13 tattooed on my wedding ring finger, as well as designs of the number 13 on different places on me.

Anything else you’d like us to know ? I love tattoos, and piercings, and I hope to “sleeve” both arms, and I want a horror themed chest piece. Body modification is very personal to me, and anyone that meets me, and asks questions, will be greeted with all the information they need!
